Cuts and Transitions

This time, my partner and I have worked on one specific kind of transition: the Smash Cut, where one scene abruptly cuts into another.

This technique is used in the cinema with a narrative or emotional purpose, occurring at a crucial moment in a scene where a cut would not be expected.

In this scene, taking advantage of the fact that the highschool was almost empty, we recorded the quiet surroundings, just to abruptly change to a scene where we can see lots of people and hear an annoying ringing noise.
